About the program

A Bachelor of Digital Media (Film & Video) can give you the essential knowledge, skills and experiences required to embark on a career designing and producing content for film, TV, games, advertising, information/education and beyond.

You will acquire broad and flexible hands-on skills in motion graphic design, digital video production, editing and postproduction, sound design, concept design, preproduction planning, cinematography, compositing and visual effects. At the same time you will explore the theory and context of design, film, TV and animation to enrich your creativity and storytelling, while working through briefs and creative processes used by industry.

In your final year you can apply for an internship in a professional studio or production house, and get you the chance to work on live project work for a real world client. You will also have the chance to compliment your studies by completing elective subjects in 3D Design and Animation, Interaction Design or Communication Design. You can pick and mix elective subjects to further tailor your degree to your goals.

This digital media course is available on our Sydney campus in Ultimo only. You will be able to choose between studying full-time or part-time, earning you a degree in 2 to 6 years maximum.
